  • Name, email address, company and role, business contact details as well as details of any communication with our business contact.

When we receive a trade enquiry, we keep a record of the name, contact details and contents of the communication.

To manage relationships with our trade customers and suppliers.

To send updates and marketing communications to our trade customers about our products which we feel may be of interest.

To provide information about the products in question, or about similar products and services.

Information we collect about our press contacts:

  • When a journalist or blogger approaches us about our brand, products or services, we will record their name, email address and the publication name.
  • We also work with selected PR agencies who provide us with the names and email addresses of selected journalists who would be interested in receiving press releases from us.
To send relevant press releases to journalists who may wish to cover our company or products.

Providing Your Personal Data To Others

In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with some of our service partners. These include IT, delivery and marketing service providers, database and email providers and third-party payment processors. Also, analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site and credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.

We also partner with third parties including Feefo to collect impartial product reviews from customers who use our website. They will keep your data securely and use it only to invite you to write a review. If you would prefer not to hear from these companies, click the unsubscribe link in one of their emails.

In some scenarios we may need to provide your information to other third parties for example if we are reorganised or sold, personal information may be transferred to the buyer.

If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions of supply and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mathmos Limited our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.

Where We Store Your Personal Data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Please note these rights will not apply in all circumstances, for example where we are required by law to keep the information, where there is an outstanding contract or where the information may be relevant to a legal dispute. Where we are not able to action your request, we will explain to you the reasons for this.
