Performance Manager
- Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Position Overview
Mathmos, inventors of the lava lamp, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paid media specialist to work with our in house creative and development team to grow our International D2C eCommerce. You will be based in the lava lamp factory in Poole and work across most advertising platforms, including Google, Amazon, Meta, Pinterest and TikTok. This position is an excellent opportunity for a performance marketing specialist with SEO to work in a broader, more varied role in a small but well-known local company. It would suit a team player who enjoys working alongside others, reliable and flexible and would enjoy making a significant contribution to the company’s success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative PPC strategies to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and maximise ROI across Google, Amazon, Meta and other social media platforms.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and market trends to inform PPC campaign strategies.
- Oversee budget allocation, bid management, and ad creative testing to achieve performance goals.
- Collaborate with our in-house content creators, designers, and developers to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.
- Utilise analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager to provide regular performance reports, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement in all aspects of our eCommerce operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Monitor and analyse eCommerce performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Use other e-commerce skills to grow Mathmos’ International e-commerce business.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience of at least two years developing and implementing successful PPC campaigns in an agency or eCommerce environment.
- In-depth knowledge of PPC platforms, including Google Ads and Amazon.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with A/B testing, landing page optimisation, and conversion rate optimisation.
- Have good knowledge and experience of SEO practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to enable you to work with our small team.
- Ability to keep up with the latest trends and best practices in eCommerce, digital marketing, and PPC.

E-Commerce Support Executive
- Salary: £23,000 – £26,000
- Location: Mathmos Lava Lamp Factory in Poole (not hybrid)
- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 9-5pm.
Position Overview
This full-time role reports to the UK Area Manager, covering customer service and attending our factory shop. The role is based in the lava lamp factory, with free car and bike parking. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a hands-on role in a growing eCommerce business.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer support through various channels, including email and phone, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage customer reviews and feedback, proactively enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop visually engaging and persuasive content for product listings and social media platforms.
- Respond to customer comments on Mathmos’ social platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest and X.
- Assist in updating content, blogs, SEO, and metadata on our WordPress sites across different languages and other relevant e-commerce tasks.
- Assist with data and imagery changes on social channels and marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay.
- Man our factory shop, engaging with customers to make sales.
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Digital marketing or eCommerce: 1 year (preferred)
- WordPress Site Experience: 1 year (preferred)

Supply Chain Manager

- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Mathmos, the inventors and manufacturers of the iconic lava lamp, seek an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Poole, Dorset. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a British heritage brand, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage supplier relationships to maintain quality and timely delivery of components and sub-assemblies.
- Manage all the production planning to optimise stock levels and fulfil customer demand from our different fulfilment locations.
- Take responsibility for all transport and logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements across all aspects of the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven supply chain planning experience and familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

- An ability to work collaboratively, under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.

German Speaking E-Commerce Marketing and Support Executive
This job is an exciting opportunity for a fluent German speaker with English to join a friendly growing company and learn a range of online customer support and marketing skills.
- Full Time or Part Time
- £25K – £28k depending on experience
- Quarterly target-related bonus of 5% of salary and Christmas bonus
- Start Date: Flexible
- Location Mathmos Factory (free parking on site)
The Role:
- Customer service – responding to incoming customer service enquiries and reviews via email, telephone and over social media as part of the e-commerce team.
- Other office, sales and eCommerce tasks as required.
- Translations and content management – editing, optimising and posting content on our websites, Amazon, Social Media, email, etc.
- An opportunity to learn or enhance your eCommerce skills and grow as part of an international team.
You:
- Have excellent spoken and written English.
- Have excellent spoken and written German, ideally a native speaker.
- Have good keyboard skills and are IT literate.
- Are a team player and are happy to pitch in where required.
- You can reliably commute to the Poole factory.
- Customer service experience would be an advantage.
- Digital marketing skills would also be an advantage.

You will work with the International team, which is based in the lava lamp factory and headquarters in Poole, near Holes Bay. We have free car and bike parking on-site and are within walking distance from Poole railway station.
