What is a Mathmos Special Fill?

During the Spring and Summer months, Mathmos like to offer a special lava bottle filling where we custom fill out of range colours for a limited time only.

Our recent survey revealed that our customers would like more colours and Special Fills. So, as one of the many exciting things we have coming up, we offered a special lava filling across the entire Mathmos Astro lava lamp range.

Every Vote Counts!

Mathmos put three out-of-range colourways up for vote on the Mathmos social channels and via our newsletter to let the public cast their votes to tell us their favourite colourway. The top two options with the most votes go on sale. The special fill choices were:

Violet / White
Pink / White
Yellow / White

All three colourways were popular online but the winners were…

Special Fill Lava Lamp Bottles

Violet / White and Yellow / White were the favourites and were made available to buy across the entire Astro range and as spare lava lamp bottles on the weekend of 24^th – 27^th May 2024 only. Once the sale closed, the lava bottles were hand filled to order in our factory in Poole before being sent to customers.

These Special Fill bottles were eligible for our 30% Accessories Discount when you spend over £65 to offer Mathmos customers the best price.
