Designed and made in Britain since 1963, the creators of the iconic lava lamp, Mathmos, will release a new line of their ingenious lamps this Autumn. Invented by British entrepreneur and eccentric Edward Craven Walker, the classic lava lamp has become a cultural piece of iconography for over five decades, maintaining a consumer and cult following from the 1960s until the present day.

The two new wireless editions, the Pod and Pod+, will extend the Mathmos range, following in the footsteps of the first lava lamp design, the Astro, which has been in continuous British production since 1963. The First 100 sold of the new designs will bear a unique number making them highly collectable.

The two new candle-powered additions come in four colourways, pink and blue, yellow and orange, blue and yellow and violet and orange.

With two complimenting heights (25.2cm and 30.7cm) the modular lamps with unique Mathmos formula are made of expertly crafted branded cast metal and are great in groups. With a 30 minute warm-up time and no cable, the designs work with regular tea lights and make the perfect addition to any home, office or event space.

Perfect for winding down and relaxing Mathmos lava lamps are all hand filled in Poole, Dorset with Mathmos’ unique mesmerising formula. All three products have beautiful gift boxes and make perfect analogue Christmas gifts.

Available from Tuesday 15th October 2019, the two pieces are priced separately at £44.00 and £48.00 and available from www.mathmos.com & International websites.
