Engraved Mathmos lava lamps are custom made to order so they are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Of course you can contact us in the normal way if you feel your product is faulty.

What is the cost of engraving?
The cost of engraving is £10 per product.
Can I engrave any product?
Only Mathmos Astros can be engraved at the moment, the engraving will be on the cap in the position shown in the image.
How many characters can I use, and can I include letters numbers and symbols?
You can use 41 characters including any letter from the English alphabet, any number, or symbol you find on an English keyboard.
Can I change the typeface or the position of the engraving?
No the typeface will be Century Gothic Bold size 14 and the engraving will be in a circle on the cap as shown in the image.
What colour will the engraving be?
The laser etching process will reveal the aluminium under the polished or anodised finish, please see the picture.
Will the engraving service extend the delivery date?
Yes, please allow three extra days for engraving.
Can I get engraving in the Mathmos factory show room?
Yes, a while you wait engraving service is available on new Astros only at the Mathmos factory.
What can I do if I make a typing error on my engraved product?
Be very careful when you order that you do not make an error as the product is non-refundable.
Can you engrave my astro cap if I send it to you or take it to the factory?
No, engraving is only available on new products.
Can I engrave any message I want?
Yes, within reason. We may refuse your order if we feel it is not appropriate for a Mathmos product.
